Still Wondering What Vaccines Actually Are?   Dear Reader,   Over the past year, it’s safe to say that all of us have become intimately familiar with the word “vaccine.” Many of us probably didn’t give them much thought before 2020. We might remember getting vaccinated when we were young, or when we needed to get our children their immunizations.   The development of safe, effective coronavirus vaccines, within a year, is truly one of the great scientific accomplishments of our time. They have already saved countless lives in the last few months since several were approved for use. Vaccines are the key to us ending this pandemic and getting the world back to some kind of normal. The word “vaccine” should be dear to us all, right now   For all of this inundation, do we truly understand what they are? Did you know that despite the high-tech nature of the mRNA vaccines fighting SARS-CoV-2, many vaccines are made the same way they have been for decades? Did you know that top-secret chickens are involved in some of them?
